Deployment of the Tyulpan mortar and combat work of the crew during the destruction of the enemy command post

The Tyulpan mortar crew advanced to the position after receiving data from intelligence - an enemy fortified area was discovered in the Avdeevka direction. Due to the fact that the enemy used pre-prepared shelters and buildings, the command decided to use the most powerful self-propelled mortar in the world with a caliber of 240 millimetres for guaranteed target destruction.

The destruction of the fortified area was carried out with the help of 3F2 mines, commonly referred to as Dolphin. The flight range of this mine is up to 9 kilometres. Due to the fact that the effective use of the most powerful mortar in the world by Russian artillerymen almost always guarantees heavy damage to the enemy, the Tyulpan crew is constantly hunted.

Russian artillery units armed with 2S4 Tyulpan heavy self-propelled mortars have been performinh combat missions since the first days of the special military operation. Due to the special performance characteristics, such systems are capable of hitting the most complex targets and important enemy targets. To destroy such objects, mortar mines weighing from 130 to 230 kg are used. They are capable of penetrating concrete floors up to 3 m thick. 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar is the most powerful domestic artillery system of maximum power.
