DRASTIC CHANGES FOR AMISH In Lancaster, PA
The young man is ‘tedding hay’ not ‘plowing’ the field. By the time I realized my mistake it was already embedded in the clip. There have been dozens of comments pointing this out.
Got away from the city suburb hustle for a day to visit the old order Amish in Lancaster and Strasburg, PA. Between horses and buggy's, Amish farms and roadside stands, discussed the drastic changes that took place in the Amish community in the last three years since covid.
I used to visit the Amish years ago and do oil paintings of them. Ignore the media hit pieces, most are wonderful Godly people living a simple life apart from the world, just as God intended.
It’s a challenge to find old order Amish to speak on camera, especially to an outsider, but I managed to get some nice footage in my one day visit revealing interesting info.
In one piece I film a family in an open horse drawn buggy on a 50 mph 2 lane road with cars swerving around them. It looked extremely stressful for the family as well as very dangerous. These are brave, honest, courageous, self sufficient, hard working people that take nothing from the government. Much respect.
