Dangerous Liberty Ep40 - Special Guest Jeff Hahn

On this episode we'll be talking with Jeff Hahn who is a former Green Beret, former SOF Aviator with 160th SOAR among many other duties and accomplishments. He currently lives in Florida with his wife Sherri raising Boer goats, Berkshire pigs, and chickens, while focusing on preparedness and being completely self-sustaining.

I've had the opportunity to slowly get to know Jeff through texts, phone calls, and other correspondence and although we've yet to meet in person I consider him friend and brother. Given his experience and accomplishments I knew he'd be a fascinating guest to have on to share his knowledge and skills along with how he got started in the self-sufficiency lifestyle with the rest of us.

Not only is Jeff one of America's elite in so many different ways, but his story, his accomplishments, his decision to live his life on his own terms is a model for all Americans to follow. We have so many national treasures like Jeff, inspirational stories that are never heard, men and women setting the example for all of us to follow and yet live out their lives quietly while so many negative influences get all the spotlight.

Jeff Hahn Bio:

He joined the Army 2 months after I turned 17 and served from 1985-2011. Over the course of 26 years, he served as an enlisted and Warrant officer in Special forces as well as an Aviator in the 160th SOAR. He finished his career in the military working as a staff officer at HRC/Pentagon. He later started a security company (Saber International Security) in Baghdad and after that worked for the State Department in Haiti as part of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement program. Currently, he and his wife Sherri reside in Defuniak Springs Florida on a small farm raising Boer goats, Berkshire pigs, and chickens, while focusing on preparedness and being completely self-sustaining. He has 4 children and one stepson of which all but one are grown and have families, or are living on their own. He has a pilot’s license (commercial rotary wing instrument), he's an Advanced Open Water Diver (Combat Diver) and has a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Response Management, as well as finishing up his gunsmithing certificate with Sonoran Desert Institute.
