Why do women lie to themselves and each other

If we as a people, and in this case, women understand that sugarcoating things and, literally lying to someone is not going to help anybody. Well I am quite sure that women know this but when are we going to stop doing this? When are we going to stop lying to each other. When are we going to stop lying to ourselves? When are we going to stand up and be more accountable and responsible?
