In this video, I discuss how Bitcoin can help to hedge one's savings against fiat devaluation, as is currently happening in Argentina. People who say that Bitcoin has no uses beyond speculation are usually suffering from first world financial privilege. I then discuss Javier Milei's success in the Argentinian primaries, and whether Argentina could be the next El Salvador in terms of moving to a Bitcoin standard.

Whether or not you like Milei, he is yet another indicator of how Bitcoin is beginning to enter the mainstream political discussion. Something similar is happening in the US with the presidential candidates RFK, Jr and Vivek Ramaswamy.

I conclude with a discussion of the Nixon shock of 15 August 1971, which marked the beginning of the modern fiat era.
