ORISIS-REx Slings Orbital Web Around Asteroid to Capture Sample

OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer) is a NASA spacecraft mission designed to study the asteroid Bennu. Launched in 2016, it arrived at Bennu in 2018 to gather samples from the asteroid's surface and return them to Earth. The mission aims to provide insights into the early solar system, the origins of life, and the potential for asteroids as resources and potential hazards.
