First high-level meeting of Forum on Global Action for Shared Development kicks off in China

China is hosting the first high-level meeting of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter for the event being held in the Beijing capital. China has established an inter-agency coordination mechanism and kept close cooperation with the UN and its branches in China. The Global Development Initiative, proposed by President Xi, is closely linked with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
