Biden administration urges colleges to pursue racial diversity without affirmative action

In a fresh set of guidelines released by the Biden administration on Monday, colleges are being encouraged to adopt a variety of approaches to enhance racial diversity within their campuses, following the Supreme Court’s invalidation of affirmative action in admissions.

Colleges now have the option to concentrate their recruitment efforts in regions with high minority populations, the Associated Press reported.

Additionally, they can implement measures aimed at retaining students of color who are already enrolled, such as establishing affinity clubs tailored to specific racial groups.
