Frank William Abagnale Jr. is an American author and convicted felon known for his deceptive exploits. In the late 1970s, Abagnale gained notoriety by perpetrating various victimless workplace frauds. He co-wrote his autobiography, "Catch Me If You Can," in 1980, which later inspired a film adaptation directed by Steven Spielberg. Abagnale has authored four other books and operates a consulting firm called "Abagnale and Associates." He worked as an assistant state attorney general, and a hospital physician, impersonating a Pan American World Airways pilot.
