1 Month Of Food Preservation | Week 1 | August's #everybitcountschallenge

I am taking part in this years food preservation #everybitcountschallenge that Jessica from @threerivershomestead has been doing now for a few years. The beauty of this challenge is you can take part if you have a garden or not. Food preservation doesn't just have to come from your garden its about putting food away for those winter months. For myself we strive to put preserve our own garden harvest, however somethings can be challenging when you are cold climate gardening in a short season in Canada. Today's video is the first of 4 that I will be doing, during the month of August. #everybitcountschallenge is exactly what it sounds like, even the smallest amount of food preservation counts in helping your family during the winter months when growing is a challenge. It is also a great way to save money and reduce the costs we spend on food year round.
