Use of excessive force by Cranston School Resource Officers

After Mr. Mello was assaulted and illegally arrested the two SRO's walked him out to the police cruiser. He was cuffed with his hands behind his back. Office Rocchio decided to smash Mr. Mello hard on the hood of the car. His feet came off the ground. There was no reason for this type of abuse. Mr. Mello was no threat. He was rushed to the hospital after this illegal arrest and suffered a cervical spin strain, a contusion to the head and several other injuries. All while having every legal right to pick up his daughter.
