Some people would be jets.

It's uncanny how far down the rabbit hole of fantasy some people are willing to go in defence of what they believe to be right. Unquestioning and pig headed people will stick to their guns all the way to the end. If these folks were stewards on the Titanic, they'd still be telling people they just 'stopped for ice'.
