Sun
The left side of the frame is the full circle of the sun. Its color is golden yellow, but there are thin yellow stripes radially on the surface. Some areas are very bright and some are almost black. The entire Sun rotates steadily on its axis, taking 12 minutes to complete one revolution in this time-lapse. Usually only a few bright areas are visible at a time, and they move and flicker like small fires. Thin rings extend from these areas across the surface, rapidly changing shape and size.
To the right of the frame are two white outlined squares that magnify the region of interest in the sun.
