A sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film. Set 17 years after the first film, Gadar 2 follows Tara Singh as he searches for his imprisoned son during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
