'I enjoyed nice years but now it’s time TO WIN!' | Mateo Kovacic FIRST interview as Man City player

In his first interview since signing for Manchester City from Premier League rivals Chelsea, Mateo Kovacic said he “can’t wait to get started” at his new club.

The 29-year-old Croatia international, who will wear the number eight shirt, is City’s first summer signing and has agreed a four-year deal which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2027.

The four-time UEAF Champions League winner admitted he has his sights firmly set on winning his first-ever Premier League title, and also claimed he was looking forward to a friendly battle for midfield places with his new team-mates.

"When you watch the names it's a pleasure to be here and to play with them, so I can't wait to try to do my best with them on the pitch," said Kovavic.

Kovavic has 95 caps for Croatia and before joining Chelsea he played for Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
