Ares I-X Flight Test Launches...

NASA's one-of-a-kind Ares I-X rocket lifted off from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Pad 39B on Oct. 28, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. EDT. The rocket performed as expected, with the first stage separating on time and tumbling back to the Atlantic Ocean to be recovered.
