Cook With Me Large Family Dinner | Foods From Scratch | Family of 7
Come along on a busy day in the kitchen as I try to have dinner ready at a godly hour. Nothing is promised. Especially plans. Mom life. Aaron is training for the US Olen of Golf qualifier so it’s been really long days for all of us.

Carnitas
4-5lb pork roast
1tsp chili powder
1tsp ground cumin
1tsp smoked paprika
1/2tsp onion powder
1/2tsp garlic powder
1tsp salt
1tsp pepper
1-1/2 onion
4 cloves garlic
1 chipotle chili in adobo sauce
Slow cook on medium 6-8 hours
Shred with a blender
Spread on baking sheet
Broil 5 minutes. Flip meat. Douse with drippings from slow cooker. Broil 5 more minutes.
Serve on tortillas with sauerkraut.

Recipe for sauerkraut
3lb Cabbage
2T pink sea salt
1t caraway seeds
Thinly slice cabbage, sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds and mix and pound. Let sauerkraut sit for about an hour to bring out the juices. Add mixture to the mason jar and be sure cabbage is submerged under brine. Drop a sour stone weight onto cabbage to keep it submerged. then secure a lid with a pickle pipe or airlock. Place in a cabinet and test the batch after 10 days. once you are happy with the flavor, put a mason jar lid on it and refrigerate. Enjoy!!
