I've been flying RC for 42 years the last ten of the which has been heavily involving FPV (First Person View) flying. My first time I said to myself I want to learn to fly was after seeing an Ultra-light take off from a friend's neighbors property in 1982.(David Kolb - inventor) I ended up working and flying on UH-1 Huey helicopters in the army for five years. In 2017, I was winding down my career and watching Youtube videos and came across Dell's videos so I watched hundreds of videos over the course of four years while recovering from three surgeries post career.

In January of 2021, I made a trip to San Diego and stopped in at Torrey Pines glider port to watch the RC slope flying and saw the paragliding guys. I decided that was how I'm going to get in the air faster and cheaper. I barrowed a friends PPG wing for kiting practice and purchased an Ozone Roadrunner ground handling wing (20 hrs.). I signed up for PG school in Santa Barbara, CA. with Eagle Paragliding and completed my two weeks of training for my USHPA P2 rating in May 2021. I've since completed 80 flights and I'm working towards my P3 rating so I can go back to Torrey Pines for some ridge flying.

In January 2022, I started my PPG training with Danielo Mendez from "StayBad Paramotors" and completed my first PPG flight at the Salton Sea in September 2022. I currently fly an OpenPPG Electric SP140 Paramotor, completed 21 flights so far and my wing is a 2018 Ozone Spyder 28m. The goal behind getting the EPPG was to fill in the unflyable days for PG with a PPG, like anything else there are pros and cons with owning a EPPG.
