Tonight we will be talking with Chris Townsend about his recent article on the 1933 extraordinary communist party conference, which shifted the direction of the CPUSA towards organizing workers and rooting themselves in the worker's movement.

Chris Townsend was a member and staff member of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) and the United Electrical Workers Union (UE) for a combined 38 years. He continues to work as a union organizer today.
