In this video I discuss how magic is so often wrongly portrayed in fantasy media, including books, films, TV shows, and video games; but focusing on tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons where I discuss how magic is world changing and the ways in which it should alter the world around the main characters, when it often does not. Magic in most fantasy settings should change the world, so here I go over the many things fantasy authors or games masters should be keeping in mind when doing their world building.
