Commentaries on the Qur'an Part 14: Commentaries on the Hadiths at C

What are hadiths? Why are they so important to Muslims? Can a Muslim survive without them and still obey the Quran? Why or why not? If a Muslim can not survive without the Hadiths are they equal in influence to the Qur'an? What about the contradcitions?
