Maui families anxious for missing kin as deaths rise

As Hawaii’s governor announced on Saturday (August 12) that the wildfire death toll had risen to 89, a Family Resource Center opened its doors in Maui the same day to help residents try and reach their missing loved ones. Longtime Lahaina resident Ed Gazmen is still in shock at the devastation, as his beloved town was set ablaze by the wildfires, while June Lacuesta waits for news on his missing family members.
