FULL: Senator Babet introduces bill to prohibit indemnity from being granted to big pharma

Senator Babet: I have introduced a bill into the Senate which seeks to prohibit indemnity from being granted to big pharma.

Currently, if their indemnified vaccines hurt or kill someone, the taxpayer foots the bill, I say that they should be financially responsible for any damage their products cause, not the taxpayer.

If we want safe and effective medicine, we cannot grant indemnity. With indemnity clauses, big pharma has all the money and none of the accountability.

This is a David vs. Goliath fight. Big pharma and their agents within the parliament will throw everything they have at me, they do not want this bill to pass, but I will fight to the end.
