As ECOWAS assembles a force, potentially to be deployed in Niger, protesters in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso storm French embassies, and demand withdrawal of French forces from their countries. Interestingly, the Russian flag has become a common presence in anti-French protests in the region.
