KTR 60-Second Spot: NPR says the call to eat bugs is a Right Wing conspiracy theory

National Public Radio is reporting that a new conspiracy theory is emerging from what they claim are anti-Semitic Right wingers. The conspiracy theory is that global elitists want to save the world from farting cows by getting us to eat bugs.

There’s a problem with this. For TEN YEARS now, NPR has been reporting on the need to swap burgers for bugs.

Here are some NPR headlines –
-- At Bug-Eating Festival, Kids Crunch Down on the Food of the Future
-- Your Ancestors Probably Ate Insects – So What’s Bugging You?
-- Insects May be the Taste of the Next Generation - Report says
-- The Joy and Ethics of Insect Eating

NPR has even provided recipes on their website for preparing and eating Cicadas.

At question – how can NPR call it a right wing conspiracy theory when it is they themselves who have been promoting this practice for the past 10 years?
