'We're ready and excited!' | Gerrard, Henderson, Dembele greet Ettifaq fans ahead of new SPL season

Steven Gerrard sent a rousing message to Al-Ettifaq fans on Friday, telling supporters that his new team 'are ready and excited for game one.'

Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and Moussa Dembele were presented to fans ahead of the start of the Saudi Pro League season promising to 'work hard' and 'win games.'

Gerrard is aiming to resurrect his coaching career in the city of Dammam after being sacked by Aston Villa last year.

Signing Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was a major statement for a club that finished in seventh last season, and struggled for goals, but Moussa Dembele should help with that.

Al-Ettifaq will be under the spotlight on Monday when they face Cristiano Ronaldo in their opening game of the season.
