Texas Governor Abbott's Controversial Move

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has transported around 40 illegal immigrants to Union Station in Los Angeles as part of his ongoing policy of taking them to cities that are sanctuary states. Governor Abbott is vocal about the overwhelming number of illegal crossings into Texas from Mexico and the consequent strain on small border towns. In response, he has transported illegal immigrants to other cities that have declared themselves as sanctuaries. LA Mayor Karen Bass has condemned the move and called for an end to using human beings as pawns in 'cheap political games'. LA has already been a major attraction for migrants since declaring itself as a sanctuary city. Governor Abbott's move has sparked debates amongst lawmakers.
