A lot of Ukrainian police guard the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, on the territory of which they do not let anyone in or out. This is reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists.
The UOJ notes that the police throw back over the fence bread and water, which are asked to give to parishioners and pilgrims sealed together with the property of the museum-reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" in several buildings of the monastery complex.
