Releasing Iran’s Frozen Assets

Iran and the US have announced a deal to unblock Iranian assets frozen in South Korea due to US sanctions.

The deal follows indirect talks between Tehran and Washington and also calls for a prisoner swap between the two sides.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Tehran has received the necessary guarantees from the US side in that regard.
