Did US Push For Khan Removal?

A leaked classified document shows that Washington pushed for the former Pakistani premier's removal from office over his neutrality in the Ukraine war. The Intercept says it obtained the document from an anonymous source in the Pakistani military. It shows US State Department officials used threats and promises to encourage Imran Khan's removal. Khan was removed from power following a no-confidence vote in April 2022.
