Simply - No. It's needed, even if only to preserve our culture's history.

We've seen too many times when game dev's and media that's purely digital like downloadable movies get altered for "modern sensibility" and many that are just outright unobtainable due to delisting or being superseded or deprecated.

If we don't maintain a record of what was, it's easy to change the perception of what it was.
