A World War II mass grave containing the remains of prisoners from the Dulag-102 concentration camp has been uncovered in Russia’s Leningrad Region. Members of the Avangard search team retrieved human bones, as well as household items and clothing, from the location. The team’s commander said the ditch where the burial site was discovered had been dug by civilians to prevent German troops from entering the area.
