How Will We Extract Water on the Moon? Inquiring with a NASA Technologist

While we are aware of the presence of water on the Moon, the intriguing question remains: can upcoming astronauts tap into and utilize it? This is precisely the objective we are pursuing at NASA. Our mission, PRIME-1 (Polar Resources Ice Mining Experiment-1), is set to touch down at the lunar south pole, where it will autonomously gather and scrutinize ice located beneath the lunar terrain. Through this endeavor, we aim to contribute to our ongoing exploration for lunar water.
