The Purdue confirmation plan gave the Sackler family that took $11 Billion out of Purdue Pharma to walk away from all liability from claims by those injured by Purdue's unlawful marketing of the opioid drugs. SCOTUS is taking a second look to determine if a bankruptcy court's jurisdiction extends to give non-debtors full releases from claims made by entities injured by those non-debtors.
