Your company should develop a policy in regards to use of force and rendering aid. A Security Officer should render aid to any public officer ordering them to do so and may be legally required. Duty of Care, a legal concept, must be taken into account as the security provider may be held negligent for failing to act. All officers should be prepared to render assistance during medical, and fire emergencies. Security Officers using justifiable force and arrest powers should be able to depend on their partners. Those involved in a brawl or provoked a fight should expect to to be fired.
