Amazing Moist Cherry Cake Recipe

This is a wonderful way to use fresh Cherries, make this moist Cherry Cake for Dessert, dusted with Powdered Sugar. If you so desire top it with a cloud of whipped Cream.

Cherry Cake
Ingredients:
3 cups Fresh Cherries, pitted + 18 Cherries with stems
1-3/4 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Allspice
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Butter, soft
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs, room temp

Line Springform with Parchment Paper & Butter the Form.
Preheat Oven 350° F

Combine Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Allspice & Baking Powder, whisk and set aside.
Cream together Butter and Sugar.
Add one Egg at a time.
Incorporate Flour Mixture in Batches.
Fold in 2 cups of Cherries.
Fill Springform with Batter, top with 1 cup of Cherries, push in lightly.
Bake 55 - 60 Minutes, or until tester comes out clean.
After 15 Minutes resting, remove Springform and cool completely on Wire Rack.
Dust with Powdered Sugar.
Place Cake on Platter and top with stemmed Cherries, dust lightly with Powdered Sugar.
