The FAA has issued an Airworthiness Directive to inspect Boeing 747-8 Freighters and passenger jets due to continued cracking in the stringers that attach the aft bulkhead to the aircraft. The FAA WARNS Of potential structural failures if these cracks aren't identified and repaired. BUT Boeing and the FAA have been aware of these defects since before the first plane was delivered 13 years ago.
