This is going to make limited sense if you haven’t seen the movie lololol Baz Luhrmann is a wonderfully visual director, which makes some of Moulin Rouge’s absurder plot points and stylistic flourishes a little hard to um ‘put down in words’.

HOWEVER IF, like me, you’re more than happy to be inside [something vaguely resembling] its world for a brief moment, then hopefully you’ll find something in here to like. Plenty I wish I'd done better here buT HEY HO...

(In case not absolutely clear by now, this is a parody. If you haven’t seen Moulin Rouge, I highly highly recommend it)

Why are you whispering at me?!

#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the “tingly” sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet “triggers”. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the best.
