The Orphanage Escaping the Shadows | The Promised Neverland

As the story unfolds, the children at the orphanage discover the existence of a tracker on their ears, which Krone, one of the caretakers, confirms. However, the kids show no worry because they have found a way to block the trackers. Krone becomes curious about their method and starts searching their bedroom for the tracker-blocker. Gilda spots her through the window and alerts the others, prompting them to hide the blocker inside a pig plushie that Krone had already checked. Despite Krone's suspicions, she finds the piggy empty and decides to search the room again.

Before she can open the piggy, Isabella, the main caretaker known as Mama, interrupts Krone with news of her transfer to another orphanage. Krone is suspicious of the timing but doesn't have time to investigate further. As she leaves, she intentionally leaves behind a special pen for the kids. Upon reaching the gate, Krone encounters the supervisor, Grandmother, and shares her concerns about the orphanage. However, Grandmother dismisses her claims and asserts that Isabella is the best at her job, refusing to let the kids escape. In a shocking turn of events, Grandmother allows a demon to kill Krone.

Sometime later, Emma and Norman plan to gather information from the wall while Ray distracts Isabella. However, Isabella sees through their plan and reveals that she was the one who got rid of Krone. She locks Ray up in a room while Don helps him escape. Isabella confronts Emma and Norman at the wall, delivering a speech about how she has provided everything they needed and that resisting their fate is futile. Emma, fueled by her determination, tackles Isabella to create an opening for Norman to escape. However, Isabella easily overpowers Emma, breaking her leg to prevent her from pursuing them. Norman refuses to abandon Emma and is subsequently announced as "adopted," meaning he will leave the orphanage the next day.

During the night, the remaining kids gather to discuss how to help Norman, but he insists that he will sacrifice himself to protect the others. Ray seizes the opportunity to explain that he knows the truth about the orphanage due to his exceptional memory. He reveals that he remembers the headquarters, the demons, and numerous other babies since his early years. After preparing his belongings, Norman finds the mysterious pen in his drawer. The following day, Norman climbs the wall to gather information but is devastated to discover that the meadow is surrounded by a cliff. He returns to the orphanage and provides his friends with a drawing of the area, urging them to find a bridge to cross the gap.
