The amazing story of jackfruit

Since ancient times,Jackfruit has been a major food in our food culture.Jackfruit is also called as "Heraliya" in Sri Lanka.The name "Heraliya" attended from a delicious story as like as Jackfruit.
One day,While gathering alms,A buddhist monk came to a house where a elderly woman was living.That woman hadn't anything to give as alms.After she said that to the monk,the monk showed the Jackfruit tree that was infront of the garden and asked her to cook a Jackfruit.In that times,Jackfruit wasn't a eating food.Because of monk's request,woman started to cook a Jackfruit.When it was cooking,a tasty smell came from the Jackfruit chatty.The elderly woman picked a piece of Jackfruit and ate it.The monk saw that.Monk said "Heraliya" with a smile."Heraliya" means "The Woman Thief" in Sinhala language.
