Toothed Bench Dog And Doe's foot for hand tool woodworking.

Here I make a toothed bench dog from scrap wood and a jigsaw blade - I also chucked in some various ways of clamping including a Doe's foot.

Before the widespread use of the tail vise and bench dog, simple toothed planing stops were a main feature of workbenches dating back centuries. Extant benches from continental Europe always feature a planing stop to resist forces when working the faces of boards. These stops were often made from forged metal, but in many cases they were shop made from thin sheets of steel or with the most rudimentary method of driving nails through a stick of wood and nipping off the ends.
