Most of us would believe that levitation is impossible. Of course we know that magnets can attract or repel metal objects. But what makes it possible to lock an object in space and keep it there? Josh Van der Zalm, nano-science student places a super-cooled ceramic plate over a magnet and then shows how it remains locked in whatever position he places it in. He even demonstrates how the plate can be forced to levitate in a circular path over a track. You have to see it to believe it!
