In Veracruz Mexico authorities find 103 children 343 people in a trailer

In the Mexican state of Veracruz, police found 103 unaccompanied minors in an abandoned truck. Most of the teenagers came from Guatemala. In total, there were 343 people in the semi-trailer of the truck, mainly from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Ecuador.

A tractor with a trailer without a driver was found on a highway near the municipality of Akayukan, according to the National Institute for Migration. The closed trailer was equipped with fans, ventilation and a second floor. This would accommodate people on two levels. The children were taken into custody by the Veracruz authorities. The residence status of other migrants is being specified.
