Perfect Day of Metal Detecting at a New Permission / Southern Virginia / Old Relics

Went out to a new spot. Was hard digging as the rain didn’t help the ground much. Hot and muggy with a side of smoke in the air. But wasn’t bad. I search a spot where an old house once was. But didn’t find much. Then was told about another spot where the took some dirt to build up the creek bank. 2nd hole I managed to pull out this broach.
