I Made Downton Abbey-Inspired Shoes!

That time I made Downton Abbey inspired footwear - from an idea to finished, wearable shoes! 😍 As a mom of five, I'm often asked how I make time for my art and what I put out into the world. The truth is that motherhood has, if anything, fuelled my creative flame and distilled my goals. Before becoming a mother, I was a classic oil painter, and I loved it. However, the sheer lack of outside responsibilities at that time in my life meant that I burnt out quite quickly, actually. Now that I have small children and so many demands on my time, it has 1) forced me to become more disciplined and made creative burn out practically impossible since it is now an outlet, "me time". 2) Motherhood, has, at least for this season of life, changed the direction of my art from paintings to 'practical', wearable art. These shoes are a perfect example.
