Stockton, CA 7-Eleven clerks beat down thief

On July 29, 2023, a repeat thief of a 7-Eleven in Stockton, CA goes behind the counter and puts a number of tobacco products (cigarettes and dip) into a trash can. One 7-Eleven clerk corners the thief to distract him and another 7-Eleven clerk grabs a stick and strikes the suspect over 20 times.

On August 3, 2023, the Stockton Police Department was made aware of this recording and began an investigation. Six days later, the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office cleared the two clerks of any criminal charges.
