Harnwell: Conservative Evangelicals and Traditional Catholics are in “Pope” Francis’s crosshairs

There’s a most perceptive article in today’s Financial Times:

“Young French Catholics today are highly observant and favour the most traditional forms of ritual, including the Latin mass [a movement which…] wields an influence out of all proportion to its size […and] is at the heart of the re-emergence of conservative Catholicism as a political, as well as religious, force.”

This is exactly the role being played by Conservative Evangelicals in the US — and it why “Pope Francis” LOATHES the idea of both groups working together.
