May 2023 Case-Shiller Home Price report came in the last week of July. The report was based on the month of May 2023. This is why Real Estate and the Housing Market can be confusing: there was an "increase" in values from a month to month perspective, and a decrease in overall values when we compare the year over year results. So ultimately the narrative can be spun both ways, which further confuses everyone and no one knows exactly where the Housing Market is headed. Well, someone knows (Robert Shiller) and he did provide some commentary for this most recent report.
