Wooden Bench Dog Clamps | Custom Hold Down Clamps!

In this video I make wooden dog hole hold down clamps for my updated workbench. Most store bought dog hole clamps would not work because my workbench is 1.5" thick. They are also $15 to $30 each. I made these for $1.25 each out of select pine, which I think looks great but is also plenty strong enough for what I need these for. I think hard maple would make stronger clamps with more holding pressure. A key benefit to these hold down clamps is the reversible cam which allows clamping towards or away form the bench dog.
