Final Fantasy XVI #10:Logos, the Kindling of Creation or: How I Learned to Stop Caring and Kill『GOD』

The tenth and likely final episode of our first playthrough of Final Fantasy XVI. In the wake of the destruction of Drake's Spine, Ultima has awakened the ancient device Origin, hidden under the Crystaline Dominion's capital city. From this, he has sewn the seed for the creation of one final Mother crystal, and awaits our arrival at it's peak. It is here we shall take part in our Ultimate Battle, of Ultimate Destiny.

Odin has been a very interesting addition to the roster. He is not nearly what I expected of his tool kit, but has been a boon more than once. The ability to clear an entire field using Zantetsuken Lv.5 has been a humorous help, but using that tends to leave us dry before fighting major boss battles. The use of their ultimate attack is equally situational, the long wind up time leaving us rather vulnerable mid combat. This needs to paired with freezes or knock downs, anything with enough time to push through the window. But doing so nearly fills the Zantetsuen gague, and once we complete the Chronolith for Odin's trials, it will nearly fill each use, allowing for a more frequent use of Zt5.

Before we begin our final battle, there are a number of side quests still to embark on. Final farewells to be had, and weapons to forge. Of the hunts only those required for Gotterdammerung will be done, with as little time spent dilly-dallying as possible.

With the confirmation of Ultima as the true creator of humanity, some questions still linger, such as who other gods are such as Gregore. Perhaps these will also be mentioned within the archives, though it would have been nice to see in game. There are still a handful of pages left empty in the journal as well, important characters and monsters as of yet unseen. Who they are, and when they will be met is a mystery, as we near the completion of the game. I do not feel we overlooked anything, though it is possible it was some conversation not flagged as a priority that we possibly missed.

This game has been a wild ride to say the least, and I want to offer a sincere thank you for anyone and everyone who has joined us for this journey. I hope that you all have enjoyed this game as much as I have, and enjoy the climax of the story.
